saw a documentary on acid house and it had the singer from this song talkin about acid house and this song. he was sayin that acid house is not about drugs they call it acid house cuz there burning tracks like sampling other tracks. so im listenin to this song thinkin ok maybe its not about acid the drug, then here him say "you turn on, tune in, and drop out, acid has that effect" Im like ya they definitly referencing the trippy shit.

It included the 3 remaining members of the MC5 at the time: Wayne Kramer - Lead Guitar / Vocals Mike Davis: Bass Guitar Dennis "Machine Gun" Thompson: Drums This show also includes many well known guests on lead vocals (Rob Tyner, original MC5 lead singer died on Sept 18, 1991 at the age of 46) Nick Royale from The Hellacopters also played rhythm guitar in place of original MC5 guitarist Fred "Sonic" Smith (Who died on Nov 4, 1994 at the age of 46). RIP Wayne Kramer who just passed away recently on Feb 2, 2024. The last surviving original member of MC5 (as of today's date Feb 25, 2024) is Drummer Dennis Thompson, who is still playing and helping the MC5 name move forward and live on!
